Ronald BlairRon Blair is president of Surgery Center Services of America. He provides consultative services in the areas of ambulatory surgery center planning and development, design and construction, project management, marketing, equipment planning and acquisition, and strategic planning. Mr. Blair has more than 28 years of experience in medical and non medical business operations and has been developing ASC’s since 1990. Prior to establishing Surgery Center Services of America, he served as a consultant with The BSM Consulting Group, as an administrator of ophthalmic practices, built ambulatory surgery and laser centers, and has been president and CEO of various entities, including a business consulting firm. He has a broad-based background in business, including general management, marketing, and project development. Mr. Blair is a member of the American Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Medical Group Management Association, Outpatient Ophthalmic Surgeons Society and Federated Ambulatory Surgery Association. His writings have appeared in Administrative Eyecare, Outpatient Surgery, and other national publications. He is a graduate of the University of Washington, continued postgraduate studies at Pacific Lutheran University, and is a graduate of the Executive Programs of the Aresty Institute of Executive Education at The Wharton School.

Scott Blair

Scott Blair has a BA in Mathematics from the University of Washington. He has worked as a medical equipment planner for 15+ years designing and outfitting surgical centers throughout the U.S. Prior to entering the medical field, Scott owned and managed a successful environmental service company for 19 years. He has also served as a public school teacher in remote Alaskan villages.

Alan John DeCorte has 25 years ophthalmic practice management experience in operations, administration, marketing and development. Extensive experience managing and marketing international standard healthcare services to foreign healthcare, including other Asian consumers in China.

Patrick D. Blair

Patrick has been with SCSA for 10+ years gaining experience in all departments of the company. As Vice President New Business Development he handles all the website/server and computer needs for Surgery Center Services of America. He also assists in the equipment planning and installation in our surgery center projects. Patrick D. Blair has a BA in Financial Economics and Computer Science from Western Washington University.

Philip Blair

As Vice President Project Management, Philip will coordinate and ensure ASC development meets vital deadlines.
Prior to joining the team, he worked as a Financial Manager for multiple Fortune 500 companies in the global relocation industry. He will utilize his knowledge of Financial Analysis, Auditing, US tax, Human Resources, Payroll, and Management towards the development of the Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Philip Blair has a B.A in Finance and a Minor in Economics from Western Washington University.

Ms. Broadhurst, RN, MSN brings a wealth of experience/knowledge to SCSA with over twenty five years of surgical nursing experience, as well as 31 years of consulting experience. Her rich and varied professional career has included staff, administrative, and Clinical Director positions in such departments as the operating room, Labor and Delivery, New Born Nursery, Post-Partum, Women’s Services’ and Ambulatory Care, with a strong focus on the operating room and compliance. She has a strong focus on quality patient care and encourages all her clients to follow up their licensure and certification with The Joint Commission accreditation as evidence of their commitment to quality.

As a young and determined 18 year-old, Ms. Broadhurst obtained her associate degree in Nursing from El Centro College in Dallas and soon after accepted her first of many leadership positions. She went on to obtain her BSN and MSN from the University of Phoenix.
In 1983 Ms. Broadhurst licensed and certified her first ambulatory surgery center in Dallas, Texas. Since that time she has been responsible for taking over 200 ambulatory surgery centers successfully through the process.

Operating room and Surgery center compliance has been a constant thread throughout Ms. Broadhurst’s career. Her passion for her work has carried over into her commitment to education. Ms. Broadhurst has written several articles for ophthalmic journals, written a chapter in the book ABC’s of ASC’s, as well as help in the development of the surgical program for ASCRS (American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgeons).Ms. Broadhurst has presented at national conferences on topics including: Compliance for ASC’s, what to expect in a CMS survey, Operating Room Efficiency, and managing your ASC.
